Armenian architectural heritage on the territory of modern Turkey had been strongly damaged after the WWI. Many monuments were lost irrevocably, and now they can be seen only on old photos. For different reasons Armenian monasteries & churches has been still being destroyed there, that’s why every photo is of immense value, as even in such condition they can be seen nevermore . |
